Goodbye, or not

To all the players of Minecraft World Map I wish you farewell. I have had fun the 6 months I have played on this server and made many good friends, some I have no contact with after the server went down. I know there are many of you out there that would like to continue playing mcworldmap. So, I decided, when/if I get the money and skeight's permission I will open up a mcworldmap memorial server, the ip will be play.mcworldmap.net (maybe). I will put all of the old maps from mcworldmap when they are posted to this website and put them in a server for people to keep playing for a year, and also I will be adding tones of maps. All I need is people who would like to go on my server and if I get enough I will open it up. Please answer the poll to vote! Big Grin

The server will have all the plugins from mcworldmap that I can find (LWC, Residence, World Edit, Limited Creative, ext. And will act almost exactly the same, the only difference is that the server will have only 12-24 slots but there wont be much lag at all!

Ok, I had sent him a message before I posted this and he hast responded yet. I asked for the res files, the plugins files, the config files, the player files, and all the map files. I am on minecraft a lot so I would be working on the server a lot. Also all the old admins stay and none would be added but me.

I sent him a message about 4 days ago

I am stating to build the server without any mcworldmap files that is currently hamachi for the time being. The main thing I will be adding that is different from mcworldmap is the top map on this website, which will be added to the server

Didn't the server payment expire?

And he wasn't using mcworldmap so he didn't renew it

i'm quite sure that's both not the case. it's just that the server's benefit wasn't big enough compared to the time spent on keeping it running...

mamxan hit the nail on the head. Running the server took *A LOT* of time and with that not being the main focus of Mineraft World Map it was hard to continue to justify it.

With regards to you starting up a server with the files, I don't have an issue with it and I don't think any other players would. You're welcome to advertise here although I will be holding off any official affiliation for at least a month.

The server will be open soon! I lied before. I found a great hosting site, I will start setting up the server in a couple of weeks! I garentee the server will be ready a week before halloween!
