Ideas

Do any of you know any good texture packs or self-installing mods?

If you are having trouble installing mods, I would recommend the Magic Launcher
But if even that isn't working for you, use the Tecnic Launcher. From there you can play: Tekkit, Tecnic, VoxelModPack, Hack/Mine, and Vanilla. (I may be forgetting one)

Thanks, a huge help

I got a good texture pack called John Smith Legacy
Here's the site
