I have a lot of sugestions, so let me just get started

First of all: I think that you need a queue that allows people to request help from a moderator or an administrator. Also I do believe that more moderators are needed. Perhaps with the abillity to "kick" (basically a ten minute ban) or a slap on the wrist. I have a friend that could help with the programming if there inst already some out there.

Second: MasterTJ and I have an idea to make the builders test more difficult. One thing we noticed can be pretty hard to do and can show someones real colors, is to build in a team. Working together to finish the task at hand. MasterTJ and I have been working together for a few days now, and would love for people to join us.

Third: A court system would be pretty nifty. Kinda like a cop to sherrif to judge thing. And a prisson for griefers that can be teleported to and from by the moderators to await judgement from skeight.

I kinda wanna take credit for this one ... well the moderator queue portion.

I believe that once I get a few things in my personal life taken care of, I should be able to create a mod that would be capable of handling a Moderator Queue system.

My vision would be for a player to submit a request for a moderator through the chat command system, such as for example:

/mod submit

And then it would ask you for a subject and a message, and submit it to the queue, stating what place in the queue you are in.

Then, optionally, it could tell the player when they get closer to the current spot in the queue.

Players could check their status by typing something like:

/mod check

and could cancel their request by typing:

/mod cancel

and reply

/mod reply <msg>

Then, moderators would be able to look at the queue list, and maybe even search the queue by using modadmin commands such as:

/modadmin list
/modadmin search user <name>
/modadmin search <word>

And could do any number of other things like:

/modadmin take <request_id>
/modadmin complete <request_id> <msg>
/modadmin reply <request_id> <msg>
/modadmin esc <request_id> <moderator_name>

and so-on and so-forth.

If there is interest, I may be able to do this, however I've never made any mods before, so it may take me a while.

in the meantime, I could probably create a rudimentary website mod request queue app that would be quicker to implement, however harder to work with as you'd have to go back and forth between game and browser (I love having 3 LCD's on my computer Big Grin)

Thoughts?

Skeight, interested?

I think more mods will solve this issue and we won't need a queue.

That said I have been thinking of a /skeight command (/s for short) that would be similar to what you guys are suggesting.

Just bare with me on this. More mods are coming however applications need to be reviewed as I want to start 3-4 at the same time so at least they can work together and learn from each other. Plus I only have to do training once Smile

This is already underway but not a process that can be rushed through. These are the people that will run the server and I want solid moderators.

I look forward to see what you do. I understand that there are other guys who have been apart of the server longer than I, and they probably get seniority over me, but I do think that I would make a good moderator. But I am happy just playing on the server. It is pretty awesome.

I was also thinking about different chat commands that separate each world from the overall server chat. It gets overwhelming when everyone online speaks at once, and perhaps separating chat by worlds will help with this.
