Thanks. I've cleaned some of these up.

Alright well maybe just prevent them from getting any further than the upload page if they dont include it. Just like when creating an account, if you don't put in a pass word it doesn't work.

How about letting me set default preferences upfront for all my premium uploads - always show signs, chests, etc. As it is, I have to re-render a map after I get it done the first time just to see where chests are...
or Have I missed a setting somewhere?
Also - a place to login from any page would be nice - minor annoyance to have to leave "my maps" bookmark page to hit forum to log in - I won't tell you how long it took me to find a place to log in after I logged out the first time, lol.
Is there a map legend somewhere? I'm a new player so not sure what I'm looking at in the cave system view. Lava is obvious as is the bed I placed but not sure what the diffferent colors are or if the dim color blocks are a route or ore or what.
This service is very low cost and is helping my budding addiction to minecraft alot! Err, making it worse? Wink

Thanks for the idea.
I'll add this to the list when I have some extra time to do the next update.

Here's an idea: Only render what's changed in a map.
I run a server for 8 guys at work. We all develop in our own little areas, but the vast majority of the 300+ megabyte map remains unchanged.
I always reupload my map to my existing map on the server. It would be really cool if your rendering program could figure out which chunks\areas didn't change, and skip rendering them.

I've looked into this when rendering took a lot longer as it would have sped up the process a lot. Yes, maps used to take days, yes days, to render before...
Anyway, I can do this if I store cache information for each render and manage it appropriately but I found that the amount of disk space required to save this extra information made it not a feasible option.

Sorry if I've just blatantly missed it, but I would like to suggest an option to hide the map seed from public view. Less virtuous players like to look up the seed and plunder the temples and villages long before they've been naturally discovered and, for some servers, it would be beneficial to not have them there.
Thanks for reading my suggestion!

Anvil/MCR file detection system. If Anvil files are detected, .mcr files are ignored. I think that would get rid of more than 50% of the issues in the help section.
