How come when I try to upload my world the world archive won't load? Is my computer bad or is it something else?

I'm not really understanding what you're asking, could you explain further?

I'm having a problem where I try to re-upload my single player map. I am using the compressed file of my most recent save, yet it doesn't seem to render any of the new parts of my map.

Please delete the following files from your world archive and attempt to render it again:
  • icon.png
  • level.dat_mcr

I'm still having problems even after deleting those two files from my world archive. If I try just uploading it as a new world, the map doesn't show anything but a big grey screen with a compass in the middle of it.

If I try updating an older version of my map, it doesn't update anything from the new saves. Not sure what I'm doing wrong...

I deleted those two files like you said, compressed the folder and uploaded it as a .zip.

I just created a new world to see if that would render, and it did...

So there must be something about my archive file that causes it to not work.

After it says the map has been sent to the queue for rendering, it appears in the queue for a second, but when I refresh the queue, it disappears.

Here's the link to my maps page: https://web.archive.org/web/2020/http://www.minecraftworldmap.com/users/pl320709

The map titled "Medieval Mountain Fortress" is my main world. I've been trying to update it/reload that save archive to no avail.

The map titled "World 13" was just an experiment in which I created a brand new world and immediately uploaded the map to the queue. This map did render properly.

I downloaded your world "Medieval Mountain Fortress" again and it seems that you haven't removed the files "icon.png" and "level.dat_mcr". Please remove them and upload your world again. Make sure you are uploading the correct archive. If you are, and the archive is simply not updating, then there is most certainly an issue with our upload servers.

I ended up finding the solution. Simply deleting "icon.png" and "level.dat_mcr" wasn't enough.

I saw one of your responses to another poster in which you instruct him to delete any files with the .mcr extension within the "region" folder. After doing this, my full map was able to render.

Thanks again for you help!

Glad you could resolve the issue, I completely missed the .mcr files in your "regions" folder. It really blended in with the .mca files.
