Istanbul, historically known as Constantinople and Byzantium, is the most populous city in Turkey and the country's economic, cultural, and historic center. Istanbul is a transcontinental city in Eurasia, straddling the Bosphorus strait (which separates Europe and Asia) between the Sea of Marmara and the Black Sea. Its commercial and historical center lies on the European side and about a third of its population lives on the Asian side. I have been working on this city for about 7 years. It will always be anything but 100% complete as I continually decide to expand it more. I was inspired mostly by the mirrors edge city and the High Rossferry City.

This City is a 100% solo build and is currently the largest minecraft city built by a single person.

Map Made over the years, still very much a work in progress.
Don't know why it's called The lost doctrine, it just seems right.
Used McEdit on the more ambitious structures and for most of the Industrial City to the south, Airport, Prison, and For the impressive looking "Palace of the Soviets" opposite the airport. (You Can't miss it and i Highly recommend visiting it to see the scale of the thing) However, the top two cities were made almost entirely from blood sweat and tears, mainly tears though.

This map was made to look like a socialist city area with a labour camp and a lot of public housing and factories.
It Went from that stage to three distinct cities, all with different building styles and a canal/river system connecting them all, as well as a fly-over system and a Minecart run/roller coaster.

A city situated next to a magnificent lagoon. Surrounded by dark oak forest and plain. It's far from done and I'll hopefully post updates regularly. In the mean time, I hope you like it!

Update: added a few new buildings in both the modern as the old part of town.

Update #2: added some buildings in the big town, started a smaller town up in the mountains, and started a modern themed town in the plains (very much unfinished)

I've added:
- A new town called "Portsmouth", located north-east of the city. This one contains a little park, some houses and a church. The theme is British.
- A new bridge across the river in the city and a small castle across it.
- Some new houses.
- New skyscraper, tallest in town
- Construction of a huge thing started out of town.
One building was also removed, But that area is not under my own development so I don't quite know why...

This is my main world. I built a skyscraper house up to the top of the map, have a little cave house in a nearby cliff, a nice open cave system under the house, and cleared a large area for a soccer stadium. I'm about to start building the stadium. I also have like 9 dogs that i found.
