BONUS: Fixing Fossils Config for compatibility with mFC:
1. Once you have the mods installed, Run FTB Ultimate 1.1.2, let the engine generate the config files prior to crashing.

2. Close the FTB client, and access the config directory. My case is:
"C:\Users\(name)\Appdata\Roaming\.minecraft\Ultimate\minecraft\config" User varies, but that's assuming your mod-packs are stored in: Appdata\Roaming\.minecraft

3. Hunt down Fossil.cfg, open with text editor, Notepad ++ is your friend google it and dl from the sourceforge domain.

4. lines 8-34, overwrite the numbers from their default to 3031 down on. You should end up with this:
